Short course for travelling in China

This program is designed to equip people who wish to visit China with some basic conversational Chinese. The focus of the course is oral communication with topics that are closely related to the individual and travelling (e.g. going through customs and asking for directions). It is suitable for people with or without any prior learning experience of the language.

This short course includes:

  • Recorded short lectures 

  • Preview and revise audios and learning resources for each session (about 30-60minutes work in total) 

  • Exercises to practice the learning content

  • Optional assessments 

By the end of the program, learners will be able to:

  • Know the foundation of the language & develop basic cultural awareness

  • Speaking: Introduce oneself (e.g. age, occupation, etc.); ask and answer simple questions that are related to travelling

  • Listening: Understand others’ brief introductions in simple words and structures in a slow and clear manner
